National Metal Technologies v. Alliant Tech

Shareholders Jim Hill and Donald Rez were part of the trial team representing National Metal Technologies, Inc., and National Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., against Alliant Tech Systems, Inc., and other related ATK companies for violation of the antitrust laws, breach of contract and interference with prospective economic advantage. The case has been resolved for a total settlement amount of $6,000,000.00. Because NMT had filed a petition for bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California, bankruptcy court approval for the resolution was required. On March 24, 2005, United States Bankruptcy Judge Peter W. Bowie approved the settlement. The action was pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, Case No. 02CV473H.
